Aluminium Zirconium master alloy include AlZr5 and AlZr10 according to different Zirconium content in Aluminium Zirconium master alloy, which are used for Zirconium addition or grain refinement in aluminum alloy.

Addition temperature of Aluminium Zirconium master alloy and  Zirconium burning loss is low when use it to produce aluminum alloys.Usually, a small amount of zirconium is added to ultra light Al Li alloy and Al-Zn-Mg-Cu high strength aluminum alloy. Its function is to refine grains, to form uniformly dispersed Al3Zr during casting homogenization, to inhibit deformation process recrystallization behavior, to control grain size and shape, and to improve hardenability, weldability and fracture toughness of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy , stress corrosion resistance and other comprehensive properties.
